He worked hard for sure He’s also motivated by a bigger pay day and said he was Tmac Caution before anointing him the next Robert horry
This is the best, most well-reasoned argument I've seen yet for House-love. It's reminiscent of the arguments put forth on why Capela was worth a decent multi-year deal. Realistically, both of these guys wouldn't look near as good on a James-Harden-less team (well, Clint wouldn't and Danuel hasn't).
He has a prove it contract with the Rox. As some Texans players have a 1 year deal to do the same. It’s a business after all.
Pay this guy, really hope it carries over the playoffs! What a confidence, he can pass, handle the ball, play defense and shoot the 3. A breath of fresh air and I don't care about Rivers or Shumpert, or even Green. House needs to be the first guy off the bench.
now that the honeymoon phase is over, you see why he didn't get more than what he was offered. still very much an unknown medium somewhere in there. he has solid outings and now hes back to terrible mistakes and just looking flat out lost. not to mention struggling with wide open 3s. hell need to get this figured out or hell be parked right on the bench once the playoffs roll around. good thing for him is he still has a good amount of time left in the season
He's a role player and not even that great of one. Can't believe people compared this dude to Siakam, Danny Green, etc... MLE?? GTFO Sure he will have some good games but lots of players have stretches of some good games, the way to really gauge a role player is how bad are their bad games?
He had some good games earlier in the regular season when the Rockets had injuries but he was on a 2-way contract with no real expectations or pressure. Now his contract has been converted and the stakes are higher. These last few games are highly pressured with teams fighting for seeding and the playoffs haven’t even started yet when the pressure is even greater. He was offered a fair deal for what he has proven so far, but you only demand MORE money AFTER you have proven your worth and that you can handle those types of situations that really matter.
I think hitting all those threes is actually hurting him. He isn’t defending like he was early on. He isn’t competing.
It’s sad some people can’t be happy for the rockets. House was great in game 1. The poster above, is probably hating on harden as well for not having a great game every game. Why can’t posters like @sirbaihu appreciate our players and our team? Tillman only fans stoop lower everyday..
Come on man. It’s ok if some people were a little overzealous with what they expected from house. Also ok to be called out on it when it was a pretty hotly contested subject.
Yeah it is. House is so damn good. Can’t wait until he doesn’t have to deal with a ridiculously smart and athletic wing defense like Utah.
