You pack him with Capela with some picks. That's a leadership and lob fest combo that Sac Kings may be tricked into since they are so desperate for an aging leader

 

We took the gamble with that contract that we would win a title in the 1-2 year window that he would still be good. We lost. We will probably never get close to being a contender again any time soon. We dont have any options, we cant sign anyone and we are too cheap to even want to sign anyone.

 

You could definitely unload Paul. The question is do we want to participate in the draft the next 4 years?

Yeah, I was a complete supporter of signing him to a max contract. I thought that by the time his game did significantly decline, we would have already gotten over the hump. I did not see this significant of a decline happening so fast.

depending on how you look at it we are actually in the worst shape of all franchises. Most franchises have a clear plan, either try to add players for a championship shot or tank for picks and plan for future. We have all our money tied up in paul, harden and capela. Paul will be a role player by next year if not already, Capela fleeced the rockets he is unplayable against real competition. we will win a bunch of regular season hurting our chances at drafting anyone, AND our money is tied up in useless players. oh yeah and we are underperformers in the playoffs. lets just blow it up. have mercy on james harden tilman and trade him to a contender. rest of team just sit them down. paul just get injured. we need draft picks. we need to reset to wash away the stink of this team.
