We have a championship starting lineup, now we need a good bench (6th man)

    Look at all of the previous championship teams / current championship contenders...They all had a great 6th man.

    Heat - Ray Allen
    Mavs - Terry (past)
    Spurs - Ginobili
    Lakers- Odom(past)
    Clippers - Crawford
    Knicks - Smith


    Just to name a few.


    This team with Howard is obviously a championship contender. But our bench is still a little thin. We need a good 6th man, but I'm not sure who is available to get. Perhaps Jarrett Jack, but we can't afford him at the moment.

    What do you guys think?

    Sorry, DMo and Bev are not on the same level as crawford / smith / ray allen / etc..

    Anderson would be a nice 6th man though.

    Not being hasty. Just thinking ahead, that's all.


    And yes, I do remember the Lakers last year. You mean the team that failed miserably? Yup, I remember that very clearly.

    And Miami's first title run was an exception to the rule since they had the best player in the NBA in LeBron, Wade was actually healthy , and Bosh was playing fairly decent as well.

    Safe to say Heat would have never won this year without Ray Allen.


    Not saying a championship team CAN'T win without a good bench, it's just that most championship caliber teams have a great bench. Just look at the current Clippers bench. Scary...

    Delfino
    Brooks
    Nick young
    Brewer
    Wesley johnson

    We would be lucky to get one of them. I guess we roll out with asik if we cant get josh smith and see what happens.

    could we go over the cap for J.Jack? it is not my money anyway. LES please do it!

    he will make us a serious contender to win CHAMPIONS!

    If Bev can really develop, Lin would make a great 6th man as a scoring option when Harden's out.

    How about Gary Payton and Michael Jordan? They'd probably be up for 10 minutes a game on a championship contender.
