We could have had Dream, Drexler, and Jordan in 1984..

Michael said Houston had given him assurances he would be taken at #2 if they lost the coin flip, so no

We should start a pool in the Styx Forum each year betting what day of the season this thread will show up.

Maybe an impressionable young Michael Jordan would have fallen in with Lewis Lloyd and Mitchell Wiggins, ODed on coke and become a mere footnote in basketball history. You never know.

I could totally see this, especially after reality sets in to MJ: For the first time in his life, he was only the 2nd best player on his team. Who knows how much a blow like that would do to MJ.

What if Amaechi was a girl, would he dominate the WNBA?

Jordan was always better than Hakeem, even in College, being a dominant big man was why he was targetted #1, it's just they thought he would develop into a super doiminant big man, they were right about it, it's also why you can't really knock them for taking Hakeem, one of the top few big men of all time who was touted to become that mind you, if the other option was taking a punt on the 6'6 guy becoming the GOAT, well yeah, you can't scout that.

Hakeem's rookie season was 20-12, and yet he didn't win ROTY, such is life (in retrospect, Hakeem's stats were better than Duncan, Hakeem would have won ROTY in every year bar one of the last 30 mind you).

    Ummm its obvious.......

If the greatest center of all time, the greatest player of all time, and clyde were on one team they would have COMPLETELY DOMINATED THE NBA!!!

I mean the other team would be scared as hell to play em and they could've beat the 72-10 record by the Bulls.

We probably would have won 12 championships with that team and would've been the best team in the nba EVER!!

But sadly the rockets didnt take the 2nd pick....

I would've rather had Jordan than sampson and i would've traded in a heartbeat......

I probably wouldn't even be a Houston fan if that had happened mind you, it would have been a circus of the greatest collection of bandwagon fairweather fans in sports history.

Howabout none of the three wouldve risen to their level of greatness because theyd have been splittin the ball 3 ways and egos and somebody wanting to be 'the man'.... meanwhile Ralph Sampson, as the focal point of his new team, becomes the greatest player in NBA history surpassing Wilt!
    ....jus sayin.... lol
