I rarely watch him but when i do hes always awesome.... always playing great vs rockets...basically he is high basketball iq guy, hustles, shares the ball ..exellent 3pt shooter and can put it on the floor in case of closeout if i recall well...
Rockets would need to come up with at least 45 mil in cap space, there's no way we're affording both of them
Wrong. I have been paying as much attention to him as I can all year. Absolutely want him. Pretty much this. He is [sneaky] athletic, can facilitate, can create for himself or others off the dribble. Is an elite 3pt shooter. A very well balanced and above average defender. High bball IQ. The biggest knock on him is he has that Chris kaman look of inferiority.
It makes one of them expendable. Reddick is an upgrade on all of those players on D. He and James could do some major damage together on offense too. He would adapt quickly to this offense. I like JJ as a rocket if the price is right. Now Blake, jesus christ monkey balls, if we could get him that would be epic.
JJ Reddick will probably cost 15 mil/yr at least...yeah, he's good, but unless Morey can get rid of Ryno's salary we can't keep using our cap space on more role players (and getting rid of Ryno would create the need for a starting PF) replacing Ego with a more expensive JJ Reddick is a lateral move, that's not elevating us to a new level How will we ever get that 2nd star that we need if we're capped out on role players? We don't have the assets to trade for 1, so the only way to get one would be through free agency.
rockets been there, done that. the ex-clippers curse is real. don't want the choking stink of this lot either.
ego and lou will are far superior to reddick. i like him but would easily have ego/lou over him, even considering defense, which isn't that huge of an upgrade to begin with. his performance in the playoffs is so much worse than the regular season because teams care more about chasing him around screens. can't create his own shot either.
So he's a more talented Kaman? Looking like a guy in your accounting office is actually an advantage. Being underestimated by your opponent is always a good thing.
Personally i think Reddick is a better player than Lou, better defender, better shooter, better system player (next to James he would be perfect)...but, at this point i wouldn't pay him what he's probably going to get if i have Lou at 7x.
Chris Paul is losing his hair at an extremely fast rate; he looks like he's aged 10 years in the past two.
reddick can't create his own shot. lou has bailed us out so much, no chance reddick has the same production in the playoffs. watch him, you'll notice his game isn't as effective as it is in the regular season. his percentages drop a lot
