    +1

The 2nd half the Colts adjusted and we did not (par for the course in the BOB era). The result was our defense getting outschemed and run ragged. I've never seen JJ huffing and puffing as badly as I did on that last drive in the 4th Q. The only glimmers of hope for the defense getting its legs back underneath it were the few times when Deshaun pulled a rabbit out of his ass on a long scramble and hit somebody streaking across the middle of the field.

This is the story of the Texans so far in the BOB era. The defense typically plays as well enough for us to win (this is becoming less and less the norm as we wither away the final downs of what was once a championship caliber defense). The offense proceeds to poop the bed and hang the defense out to dry. The bad clock management and decision making end up costing us close games. The only difference recently has been Watson extending plays and drives. Making chicken salad out of the gizzards and beaks BOB gives him.

Actually the way BOB has helped the defense with his conservative offense everyone complains about.

The defense this is on Romeo which is surprising

This is settled science. 4 years and counting of offensive ineptitude.

    3rd down conversion percentage

    2014 - 22nd
    2015 - 18th
    2016 - 27th
    2017 - 23rd

    Yard per play

    2014 - 24th
    2015 - 32nd
    2016 - 31st
    2017 - 20th

    Punts

    2014 - 6th (tied)
    2015 - 1st
    2016 - 5th
    2017 - 6th

BOB wasted the prime years of an elite defense with his utter garbage of an offense.

He finally has his quarterback. How many points did him and Watson put up last season a game. He could have hung 60 on Titans.

They will be alright but defense is the problem

Dude had mediocre qbs to start

It’s hard to nit pick because he’s been our best defensive player and more than anyone expected him to be this year but it seems like he’s still working on getting into 4 Quarter shape. The whole 2nd half he was getting pushed way up field and leaving the perfect pocket for Luck to step up into. Maybe that was part of the plan but he didn’t come close second half. He should keep getting better each week which is scary!

Numbers look great but Mack does have that pick 6 that might put him slightly above Watt.
