First Take is a show built off of the idea that being brash and opinionated earns views and relevance. You can tell, if you ever have the misfortune of being somewhere when it's on TV, that the hosts force polarized arguments with each other. Sometimes very awkwardly. It's dangling carrots out there for people to get upset about. Don't bite. Now Colin Cowherd on the other hand.... there's someone passing a re-tread opinion as fresh sports analysis.
At some point, the backlash against Harden started getting fierce. Whether is was the game predicated upon drawing fouls, then flailing of the arms and head to make sure all those legitimate fouls get called, the infamous no-D video, or the connection to the Kardashians -- or probably a combination of all of them -- at some point it became trendy and even fun for the sports media to join in. When someone claims Nash was a genius and Harden is just pretty good, I automatically know they haven't done their homework.
