Last few game 7s have been pretty good, but this was the first game where there was really no leader until kyrie hit that shot. It was just back and forth. There was just insane defense it was must watch TV for the entire game.

The spurs heat was close, but the heat were in command most of the game.
The celtics lakers game was pretty epic, but the refs really helped the lakers I felt. Also it wasn't wire to wire as close as this game.
The Rockets were in command against the knicks.

I was either not alive or old enough to appreciate the other game 7s.

This game was very hyped and I felt it lived up to it.

In the Finals, I'd say yes. It's really close though. That 1988 Game 7 between the Lakers and Pistons is tough to top. In fact, if you couple it with Game 6 of that Finals, those 2 games easily top Games 6 and 7 of this series. The Pistons were THIS close to a three-peat.

Greatest game 7 finals game ever for sure. The only other game 7 that gets close is the Rockets/Suns game 7 with Elie hitting that shot. I will always like that one better but this was a much much bigger game. Same 3-1 comeback but in a final against a 73-9 team. Nothing compares.

Greatest game 7 in terms of what? This is probably the greatest game 7 if you take into account the historical significance of these two teams playing against one another. I've never seen a game 7 where so much is at stake for both sides.

Game 7 in terms of level of play, I'm not sure. This could be it but I can't imagine there has never been a more thrilling game 7 in NBA history. There has to be.

Every Game 7 with the Rockets in it is better than any Game 7 without them.*

    * Except that time Dallas blew us out by 800 points.

or Jazz in 07, or Lakers in 09... or Sonics in 93.

I only deal in hypotheticals, and that Rockets Celtics game 7 was freaking unbelievable when Olajuwon scored 68 and won the title.

89-89 for like, 4 straight minutes until Kyrie hit THE shot. Nailbiting finish.

As an unbiased NBA fan (not a Rockets fan), that was literally the best game I've seen in several decades. I've never been that enthralled with a game that I didn't really care who wins since probably the late 80's or early 90's.

I watched the last 2 minutes standing up, which I NEVER do unless it's one of my teams. Just unbelievable.

To think that I almost didn't DVR this game because the other 6 games were so boring. Glad I did except that I didn't start it until about 10 and I'm feeling it this morning...

It was definitely an epic game 7 and the best I can remember off the top of my head. I don't know about you guys but that last dish to Lebron for the tomahawk I thought was gonna seal the deal until he was fouled. Anyone else initially think Draymond did a nut check foul?

The most important game 7 in my lifetime and it lived up to the hype. No blowout win, no easy plays. This was a nailbiter with intense defense. I lost money on GS, but I'm happy Cleveland has a championship. Those fans deserved it.

I'm glad the NBA made the sensible decision not to suspend Curry for game 7. That would have robbed us of an epic storyline.

Warriors might have won if they did that.

And we never would have seen him throw that behind-the-back pass out of bounds. LOL.
