Simple question. Now that it's over, was this season a failure?

    Yes.

No doubt about it. We were supposed to lose to the Spurs, OKC, Clippers...anyone else we are better than and shouldn't have lost to.

It ended horribly...but given the record and strength of competition in the west, I would say no...just a bad way to go out, since there was potential there to advance

it was a failure because mchale should have been dumped early in the season when it was obvious we could not close out easy wins due to his habitual end of game blunders.

Most people will say yes. Some will say any season you don't win a championship is a failure. I was upset at the hole we dug and the ultimate elimination, but looking at the season as a whole I don't consider it a failure. Not making the playoffs with Howard and Harden would have been a failure.

Yes. We added Dwight Freaking Howard to our roster and had a healthier team in the postseason than a year ago, yet we ended up with the same outcome. Eliminated in the first round in 6 games. It's a wasted season.

Is it not obviously a failure?

Only winning 2 games in the playoffs with home court advantage? Not even making the 2nd round? Hell, we won as many games last year against the Thunder as an 8 seed.

Didn't move the needle one bit. That's a failure.

undoubtedly yes. and the causes of the failure listen in order are:

    1) mcfail's lack of coaching knowledge
    2) harden's disappearance
    3) PG play
    4) bench production
    5) PF play

the good news is that almost all can be upgraded next year, with the exception of harden, who we are stuck with for better or worse... at least for now.

2nd round was expected. 3rd round was a success. i think it's pretty easy to figure out the answer to this question

Better team...but not more talented team IMO.

And yeah better coach...but I've said all year long that Mchale wasn't leading this team anywhere.

It was a failure in that we didn't meet the expectations set at the start of the season.

However, I don't think many could have predicted how stacked the WC would be.

the fact that as an 8th seed we won the same number of games just pisses me off so much
