I understand Dwight as your favorite player in Orlando but how can you still be a fan of his after all the destinations and his stubbornness to adapt to his team

Nah. Dwight is always called for illegal screen. That's the last thing the Warriors want.

ALL responses in this thread should be to clown on holic and his ridiculous "insider" claims. Dwight to GS isn't happening and never was.

It's not really that much more and he's less efficient at it this year.

With Houston in '16 he ran PnR 9.3% of the time for 1.10 ppp.
In '17 with Atlanta, he ran PnR 10.1% of the time for 1.18 ppp.
In '18 with Charlottee, he runs PnR 10.75 of the time for 1.05 ppp.

    The real issue is here:

In '17, with Atlanta, Dwight posted up 28% of his possessions for a ppp of 0.84.
In '18, it's gotten worse as he has posted up 38.3% of his possessions for a ppp of 0.78.

I'm not sure that those 10% PnR possessions outweight the horrific efficiency of the huge number of postup possessions that he seems to love so much.

    EDIT: here's some added context:

This season Capela is running PnR on 34.3% of his possessions for 1.32 ppp. It's about knowing your role.

His inability to adapt to newer offenses is why he went from a title contender in Houston to a forgotten player in small markets with terrible records. It's on him to fix that.

However, he did a lot for the community in Houston and, at least in the beginning of his Rocket tenure, showed much more maturity than James Harden did. I know he's not perfect, but he has been unfairly treated by the media ever since he left Los Angeles. I suppose I sympathize with him because he is still incredibly talented but his impact on the court is ignored by the media and the rest of the league. I think he's deserved an All-Star bid this year but the coaches seem to forget he exists. He deserves a shot at revitalizing his career with a winning team if he makes the necessary sacrifices. I hope he does it, because I will never forget his playoff performances here.

I agree with you, Dwight as a bball player stopped trying to develop too early in his career and now he's stuck trying to do too much with his limited offensive go to moves. Outside of the court, he seems like someone who would be really enjoyable to be around and maybe not pretentious like all the other celebrities are. I can see many parts of the chemistry going wrong if Dwight/Green start to play more physical, there's going to be an insane amount of technical fouls to be called on one team. If they end up doing it, I don't really see them improving by losing Iggy + whomever. They could just swap zaza out with McGee and just let him play the 20 minutes a game Zaza plays and that'd be a pretty good upgrade.

I really hope the Warriors don't get any big man help. If they get Dwight, we could be seriously ****ed. Let's not undermind Dwights defensive impact especially in the playoffs. I don't see how it would work, salary wise. & I don't see Jordan helping them. He's against the modern super teams.

    “...Still possible via buyout

If warriors agree to trade an asset after the draft along with cash considerations, while taking on one of their semi bad contracts, Charlotte would buyout Dwight with the agreement that Dwight will sign in GSW.

Both Dwight and his agent are on board, fwiw...”
