They got beat by Northshore in the playoffs this year.
This thread had me thinking he turned down the offer this year. Mr Thread Bumper, you gotta do better.
So I won't say exactly how, but I have this connection (let's say I have a mutual acquaintance) with Vrabel, and I'll see what I can do to talk him out of leaving the Texans. Although I don't see how you can turn down a chance at a head coaching gig.
If they actually offer him a head coaching gig, there's nothing at all you or anyone can do to stop him from taking it. That would be madness.
Is there such things as bait and switch interviews?
"I'm here for the HC interview"
"Oh we meant DC actually, but no good prospect would want to come here for just a coordinator position."
John Harbaugh was a defensive backs coach before he got the ravens hc job. I just don't know if that rams job is another browns situation, where the hc is doomed from the start. Vrabel better do his homework and ask Romeo about his browns gig.
I would give him assurances that he will succeed B'OB if that's what it takes.
I'd hate to lose Vrabel. I'm hoping Romeo calls it a career (go out w/ #1 Def) and the young buck becomes are DC. I like Romeo a lot, but he looks like a heart attack waiting to happen and should enjoy some years out of the pressure cooker before his health declines.
Without having a head coach, this is extremely unlikely.
after the season is over texans should make vrabel HC
NFL teams are required to interview at least 1 white candidate for every job, I believe it's called the Romney Rule.
So does that mean we keep Vrabel for at least another year?
He's only 30. That's crazy.
I think there'd be a fine line with him commanding an entire team when there'd be players older than him.
Also, Wade Phillips is his top choice at d coordinator. Weird considering I'd think Wade would stay in Denver with Vance Joseph.

Damn, that's a ****ed up and unfortunate autocorrect.
Yeah, that's bad.
Especially since I work with cancer patients every day.
I have zero confidence of your success in this task if offered a Head gig.
I'm not sure why we love Vrabel so much. Do we now how good he will be as a coach or even a coordinator? I mean he yells and curses and the players love him. Reminds me of Singletary. Still, I don't want to see him go to a different team.
