He has accepted the six game suspension no longer fighting it. I think he should have gotten 16 games. No agenda just a casual observer here. =) This might be a mind blowing moment, but without Von their pressure on the qbs will be very little. Bad coverage + bad pressure= outstanding games for Flacco, eli and vick in the first 6 games. 4-2, 3-3 if raiders pull an upset.
It's just gonna make Manning have to pass more. I don't think they'll be affected nearly as much as we'd be affected losing our best defensive player or best linebacker. They'll be fine.
The important thing is how well the Broncos play in the playoffs. I don't think Von Miller's suspension will be that big of a deal for them. He will have plenty of time to get re-acclimated. What's at stake is whether they get a first-week bye and this won't stop them IMO. Easy for me to say being a Texans fan.
Officially suspended six games. The Substances of Abuse policy requires everyone to comply with the rules. Although my suspension doesn’t result from a positive test, there is no excuse for my violations of the rules. I made mistakes and my suspension has hurt my team, Broncos fans, and myself. I am especially sorry for the effect of my bad decisions on others. I will not make the same mistakes about adhering to the policy in the future. During my time off the field, I will work tirelessly and focus exclusively on remaining in peak shape. I look forward to contributing immediately upon my return to the field and bringing a championship back to the people of Denver. -- Von Miller
Miller, collector tried to cheat test <blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p>BREAKING: Von Miller tried to unsuccessfully corrupt the NFL's drug testing program with the help of a urine collector.</p>— NFL on ESPN (@ESPNNFL) <a href="https://twitter.com/ESPNNFL/statuses/381781990770343936">September 22, 2013</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
Von miller is a one-man pass rush. This will make a big difference for the defense. Broncos look poised for a SB run.
Denver Defense have not looked good the last two weeks at all. We will see how much it improves next week.
Same concept the Colts defense had. Get the early lead and force the other team to throw to keep up....then let the elite edge rusher pin his ears back. Colts did it with Freeny; Broncos with miller.
