When I read this title, all I can think is that pgab's alma mater needs to provide former students with English lessons.

    I can dig it.

Some of our institutions need to be afforded a certain level of gravity and respect.

    The courts are one.

I can see it for educational institutions as well.

    Four principles in five years.

Probably going to be five in six pretty soon.

As was mentioned earlier, why can't you wear cutoffs to court? It's a matter of respect. Schools need more respect, and serious parental involvement is a huge factor in creating a positive environment.

Also stupid. Clothing has little to do with respect. I wore PJs to law school plenty of times, so a high school hardly garners that kind of "respect." It means nothing. It's a disingenuous form of respect.

Basically all of educational/environmental psychology disagrees with you. But that's ok. I don't care to talk about it further.

I care. People wearing their pajamas out in public is awful.

I'm supposed to show my respect to the monopolist? No thanks. They can go **** themselves. I can show them some respect when they stop lording their monopoly position and give me some customer service. How about they show the parents some respect. How about when I call them they answer the phone. When I email them they give me a response. When they tell me they'll do something for my kid they actually follow through and do it. How about they stop mandating propaganda in my kids' textbooks. Maybe paint the building every once in a while. Oh, and stop calling kids r****d in class, my newest frustration. The reason they don't get respect is because they haven't earned respect. And of course, they don't ask themselves what they can do to garner more respect like a normal organization would, they just make more rules to mandate some scraping and bowing.
