    Trevor Ariza pays his respect.

What about mini-mamba Andrew Goudelock and Dwight Howard?:p

They should have just sent Paige over to give him a kiss.

If only this rockets team had half the heart and competitive spirit that Kobe has in his little toe maybe we would not look like a cup of diarrhea this season.

They had the whole season to come up with that tribute. They could at least get the top 10 Rockets players to say tribulations. Dwight had nothing to say because he'll go back to Lala land.

The whole media production for the Rockets is terrible. You figure with our theme and team name that they could come up with something great for the starting lineups. We have that huge gorgeous scoreboard and the stuff they come up with consistently falls flat.

Nba.com did better than the Rockets in the Kobe tribute

The most exhausting thing is the PA announcers voice, I'm so tired of it. Your voice doesn't need to be so deep man.

The Rockets tribute is mediocre because they don't really care about Kobe Bryant. He never played for the Rockets and has no real connection to the city. The Rockets don't even really have a lot of memorable match ups with Kobe.

Not really any different than Shaq retiring or Karl Malone or Tim Duncan. He'll Kobe wasn't even the best player of his generation.

Not disrespectful enough. I would have shown a bloopers film of him and flashed an article from the Colorado rape trial on the screen.

Actually I would have done absolutely nothing. He doesn't even deserve to be acknowledged.

Mavs and Spurs announcers make me appreciate our guy.

Haha, so true! Everything around the marketing and media of the Houston Rockets is just terrible (except Calvin). And don't get me even started with the uniforms and team logo...

I have no idea why you guys are in such a foul mood.

The tribute was appropriate for his relationship with the Rockets aka his relationship with Ariza.

Look no further than the "X years of tradition" for an example of what the media team can produce:https://youtu.be/4Y4l16Yt3O4

And lol @ comparing our response to nba.com's

He actually looked genuinely appreciative of the gesture. Not sure if he wiped tears or not.

At the end of the game, Hakeem and Kobe embraced and shared a good long talk on the court.

They should have focused on his genius, bball IQ, and his great floor general-ing. Make him feel smart while everyone else hails is great basketball skills. Then offer him the HC job in the off season.

He might be able to fix Harden's defense and put heart into this team. If all else fails, the drama would at least be entertaining.
