So instead of addressing the issue of refereeing, they try to have fans come across as all just blind angry fans who just insult people online. Talk about taking a shot at your audience..
sometimes when i watch sports they do a slow motion replay and it confirms the refs call and im really impressed that the refs were able to get it right in real time. this has never happened while watching an nba game

What, exactly, are your specific solutions to the "issue" of this game being incredibly hard to call accurately?
- Allow criticism of the referees. - Have consequences for wrong calls at the end of crucial games, like a suspension or not refereeing the two teams involved for a period of time. - Suspension or investigation of suspicious referees and be open about it. - Replay center referee to be able to overturn clear wrong calls. - Have referees closest to a play have the final say in case of disagreement. - Allow referees after whistle blown to admit fault, giving the ball back to the team in possession and no foul to be charged to anyone. - Instruction of referees in case of repeated non-calls and or toleration of basketball moves and behaviour in general to the detriment of the opponent or player involved, like moving screens (Warriors), the beatings guys like Howard take and behaviour towards the referees (Draymond, Lebron, certain coaches, the Clippers). - Have more clear rules about technical fouls, especially when it comes to coaches. - No more shots being allowed for under one second, it's just not possible. Tip shots / tip-ins only for anything under 1.0 second. Catch and shoot would have to be researched first, but I'm guessing that would take at least 1-2 seconds.
Referees are suspended from games. The league doesn't provide a press release, but referees are suspended after incidents or a build up of blown calls, and they are taken away from certain team assignments. This already happens. Refs should not be criticized by both player or coaches publicly because it will lead to the assumption of bias or betting on games. Referees don't have nearly the exposure needed to defend themselves, fans will stupidly side with their favorite player or coach that supposedly wuz robbed, and it wouldn't change the fact that referees are trying their best under impossible conditions. Replay centers, in a 2:30 game with hundreds of possessions, cannot be expected to take to each and either close call. This isn't the NFL. Referees closest to the call routinely overrule others in the crew that make a call from farther away. Allowing a "my bad" situation for refs would lead to endless bickering from players and coaches, thinking they had a chance to bully a ref into overturning his or her own call. Even in other sports a challenge from the bench is often tossed just on the off chance that something might be overturned because, hey, you gotta use it. Even if you're not entirely sure the ref got it wrong, you'll still browbeat him/her -- look at the number of players pointing to the wrong direction on an out of bounds call when they CLEARLY know it went out on them, just to give it a try. The NBA, dating back to 2004-05, has already made its decisions on moving screens. They speed up the game and allow for more scoring, and a more aesthetically pleasing product. Howard's complaints date back to the 1950s. I'm sorry that the center this time around happens to be on your favorite #sportz team, but that's just how it goes. I hardly think a buzzer-beating jumper with less than a second left on the clock, with the crowd and everyone going wild, is a blight on the game.
- They should report it, because now it feeds conspiracy theories. It is not nearly enough and being open would lead to a lot more transparency and accountability. - There's already proven record of betting and the assumptions are already there. In other countries referees are publicly shamed and best believe it helps, because their credibility is the on the line. That doesn't happen in the NBA, so they can do whatever they want. - The replay center as it is now is obsolete, a complete joke. Referees clearly get crucial calls wrong that could've been overturned by the replay center. I'm not saying all calls, that would take away the human aspect, but some are just clear as day. - I'm saying it should always be the case, how many times hasn't it happened that a referee all the way down court makes a call while the 2 closest don't. Or the closest one looks to the other 2. No, the one closest 2 it just has to make the call and get the final say. A lot of times the head referee (veteran) steps in and decides. - Fair enough. - No there is a difference between how Bogut can set a freaking screen and Howard for instance. Also, if you cannot see the difference between how Howard and especially Yao was officiated, I don't know what to tell you. Remember how Yao was being watched in 2005, that should be the case with Bogut in case of screens and with Howard special attention to how others are allowed to do things that he gets penalized for. Even for less. - It would help in case such a game, like in 2014 vs. us and even more the questionable Fisher shot with 0.3 / 0.4 left.
