i wish he could shoot. then he would have been at the same level as nash, cp3... does anyone have a suggestion for him how to improve his shooting skill?
Adelman must really love Ish. Anyways, I digress. If Ish can develop some form of a semi-consistent mid-range shot and work on his finishing moves at the rim. He will be a very, very good point guard in this league. I really, really hope the Rockets keep this kid.
Except Cassell was drafted, Ish literally came from nowhere. I don't understand how nobody in the league noticed his court vision and passing abilities.
Well. I'm guessing his glaring weaknesses shadowed his passing game... As good as Ish's point guard skills are he has got to be the worst finisher I have ever seen in the NBA. Dude misses some easy layups. That being said, since he's getting 8-10 assists per game it really doesn't matter.
Ive been much more impressed with his defense. He has a real knack for staying in front of his defender. If Lowry doesnt start attacking the basket relentlessly and stop jacking up 3 pointers, like he did last year, he could easily lose his spot in the rotation to Ish.
I have a feeling Lowry is getting traded. Lowry has made somewhat a name of himself in this league so his trade value should be pretty good... Cavaliers wanted him in the free agency badly, why not package Lowry with some other Rockets for some picks or some young talent from the Cavs. J.J. Hickson anyone?
Because the Rockets matched Lowry's offer from the Cavs he can not be traded to them until next year. And, any trade including Lowry has to have HIS permission, and can not happen until after Dec 15th. It is a major downside to the lack of extensions policy that Morey has... DD
If Lowry is traded, then AB will still be our starting PG. AB is best off the bench. He is horrible at controlling the tempo of the offense.
I had to think for a second why Ish only had 6 assists then I remembered how many times the T-Wolves were hacking people at the rim.
I am loving the ish. He will eventually learn how to shoot and when he does watch out folks. The kid is developing fast. It makes either Lowry or Brooks expendable and I am definitely ok with letting one of them go in a package to get a star. I am more willing to let Brooks go.
