loved how he told ariza to move. not something you would see in years past by any ball handler in houston

My jaw genuinely dropped watching this live. Had to rewind. Made zero sense how he did this.

Also like how Capela fed off the improvisation and knew to give the ball right back to Paul (right b4 the assist). That's no Play.

Howard would have just kept it....so sad.

Paul with a 10:1 assist to turnover ratio through 2 games.

I’m thinking Ryan Anderson will also be a beneficiary of his perfectly placed passes.

oh please. yeah show me consistently where our ball handlers specifically told someone to move so they can work a play they see will develop beforehand.

i already know you're going to try and say harden. no, people moving out the way to iso is not the same thing

The Rockets run some form of pick and roll on pretty much every single Harden halfcourt possession. Like for reals, they have done this tens of thousands of times - it's the foundation for everything they have done for 5 years.

Do you know this is not the same as an isolation play?

so its understood. you won't see our ball handler pre cp3 do what he did to ariza though.

yep...he hits you right in the numbers. You just don't see other guys in the NBA consistently hit the numbers of a spot-up shooter ... it makes them a step to half-step (3-6') harder to close-on when they don't have to bend down to get the ball at the ankles.

Yep. This got me out of my seat when I watched it live. CP is ridiculously efficient. I keep reminding myself this guy has only played 2 games for us, so we haven't seen the beginning of what's to come. I want to see him drive the paint more & utilize that floater. Once he shows me that I've seen enough

...particularly when they're not being transcribed in recognizable English-language sentences.

You do realize you have more than 144 characters?

you realize the actual pnr/give and go action is not what im referring to.

more times than not on a broken possession like that one, that ball gets kicked out to ariza and a 3 is going up. that was certainly ariza's intention bc he was not going anywhere until cp3 told him to do so.
