Nice mix. Anything centered around Hakeem is bound to be great, but I specifically liked the choice of music and your usual insistence on using high quality clips. In terms of constructive criticism... Spoiler I think the bright flashing special effect was overused and became distracting. It also seemed like you were dropping in a rim sound effect on some of the dunks that didn't have live game audio on the original clip, and it didn't come across quite right for me. I'm wondering why you ended on the Rockets/Knicks finals instead of continuing, at least through '95.
Thanks man. :grin: Yeah, I knew that was going to be a critique. In an effort to conceal some low-quality footage and make the mix faster than it seemed, I had to fill some gaps. Yeah when I watched my published video, those dunk sound effects sounded horrible. I am not a good sound guy at all. :grin: I would totally have created a ten-minute documentary (it was what I was planning at first) but the complete lack of good-quality clips and interviews/voiceovers/etc. that were untampered with overlaying music destroyed my original idea. Same reason above. Thanks for the criticism man. Helps to know what I need to work on! Go Rockets!

Yes. No doubt. Hakeem could affect all areas of the game. Inside-outside offense; inside-outside defense. He was a leader, he was a calming presence, he was a superstar. What Hakeem needed was a Clyde-Hakeem-Sampson trio. Had he had similar conditions that Michael had... I'm sure the argument for G.O.A.T would be very very close.
After watching a second time the clips seem more or less in order, so probably not a valid criticism on my part. I edited my original post almost immediately but I guess you got to it first.
Great job. A worthy project no doubt! I'll echo the constructive criticism above, but to offset it, I'll say that I like your choice of music. It's something that matches well with the subject and doesn't turn us old farts off like some of the vulgar stuff on otherwise good highlight videos. Again, great job.
The video was good, its a highlight video not a documentary. No story arc needed, just highlights.... The flash was well done in my opinion and flowed with the feeling/atmosphere/color correction of the production. The sound effects were fine, if you would have added a fade at the end of the sound effect clip no one would have noticed it... Props.... Great Production. What do you use for editing by the way? I suspect Final Cut......
