Nope, comes out September 8th. They just had the gameplay release yesterday, a lot of good info from the reveal. As someone who has put in countless hours in the first one (and who still plays it), I am really excited about 2. Since they are incorporating Clans in the actual game (they are eliminating the need to have to use a lfg website, where you can do all of that in-game), I'd love to have a Clutchfans clan for the Xbox One. We would probably dominate, and have some fun in the process.
Consoles locked at 30 fps, PC uncapped. 4K and 21:9 support. No dedicated PVP servers for any platform.
I would, and I understand that Playstation has a slightly better version of Destiny, but I just have a strong preference for the Xbox controller for FPS's.
The Beta is out (on the Xbox, not sure about PS4). I was disappointed by the 1st game, but this Beta has been pretty fun, the gameplay gave me Halo vibes.
You know I got pretty burnt out with the first game. Repetitive and you basically had to keep buying DLC to get to the actually real game. But I played that beta this morning and damn if I'm not back in. I forgot how smooth the controls were. And it looks like we will have an actual legit story campaign from the get go. May wait for the November price drop but I'll get it eventually
I played the beta a bit on PS4 and I like the changes so far. 4v4 PVP is gonna be a time sink for me. I am heavily considering getting it for PC, though. That platform won't have the PS4 extras, but at least I'd be able to enjoy the game at 60 fps.
My whole crew is switching from Xbox to PC. The graphics improvements alone should be ridiculous on PC, not to mention 60fps. I'm definitely enjoying the beta, loved the campaign mission and the strike. PvP is certainly fun, but still needs some tweaks. Handcannon are hot garbage right now for example.
