is a pretty dang funny show. the principal (belinda) is brilliant. lee is also great. last episode when he was caught was cringingly awkward.
Anyone else find it awkward when they showed two high schoolers naked and ****ing in the field trip episode? Yes, I know the actors themselves are of age, but still felt weird.
Same stuff from McBride, its fine, but didn't bother keeping up after episode 1. Will probably catch up once the season is over
Walton Goggins makes this show. His character is pure awesome. Love his homelife and the crazy mother in law. Big fan of McBride and I know he always plays the same characters but I still LOL. The last episode with the Motorcross and the ending with the coffee, I've now watched 3 times. LOL funny. Also love it when McBride has to associate with his x wife and the new boyfriend, pure dumb funny. The insults are perfection.
Goggins does make the show, agreed. McBride is actually somewhat subdued compared to him in this show. I am enjoying it as a casual watch. Lots of chuckles. Literally laughed out loud when he was telling the kids they would get big ol' turkey t*** from smoking mar1juana.
McBride - "Miss Snodgrass, can I see you in the hall?" Kids - "Oooooooooh!" McBride - "Shut the **** up." Dumb stuff like that makes me laugh. The turkey t*** came out of nowhere, had to rewind to laugh again.
He does, but like Spike he writes the stuff too so I feel on some level that adds a little more depth or creativity to it. Also, the overconfidence mixed with earnestness really channels some old teacher/coaches growing up, and just about every campus cop I've ever dealt with at U of H.
I started watching the show because I'm a McBride fan. However, Goggins makes me laugh even more. The dialogue and how they curse is so funny and ridiculous.
Yes And this is how you do it. It's a funny show but I can see where people would tire of McBride. Goggins is hilarious.
It's pretty weak. I loved Eastbound & Down because it was hilarious back and forth. This is just elementary type of "You suck. No. You suck."
Watching this and Ballers... Unfortunately caught up on both. I need to watch the Night of next... At least from what I've heard from people. But yes, definitely a McBride fan and obviously the humor isn't for everyone but I've enjoyed it. I'm glad they made this into a series (2 seasons vs a single movie).
I started it because of McBride. He and Higgins are great together. It's the closest thing I can find to Eastbound and Down, which is some of my favorite TV ever. McBride is hilarious, regardless of if he plays the same character or not. My only beef with McBride is that his shows don't last that long.
