Really? Tell me what's going to change. It's only going to get worse when they start playing teams like OU and Baylor. 50+ on this stupid ass garbage defense.
UT is better no doubt. Only problem is that improvement all seems to be on offense, and Strong has little to do with offense.
I had expected more out of Strong coached defense. Our defense has been very underwhelming so far, to say the least. Also, outside of the blocked punt, our ST play has been very uninspiring. I don't know if it's because it's our first road game or what, but the energy level just isn't quite there.
It's hard to say given this early in the season, but regardless, our defense just plain sucks, DBs especially. All the young guns in the secondary actually seem to have taken a step back from last year. Not a good sign.
Cal runs a spread offense like the Big 12 is known for. Their QB is a top prospect for the NFL. They've been super pass heavy for years. My point is their offense has the same pedigree of all the Big 12 teams.
Cal might have the worst rush defense I've seen in a long time. They don't even try but when they do they are so bad at tackling.
Huge confidence booster. Wasn't even touched. Hopefully defense can continue their great play in the 2H. Cal has gotten sloppy with a bad snap and Webb losing the ball on their previous drives. Maybe we can finally get a turnover
We should be blitzing all game their QB is far too comfortable back there, press the receivers and blitz the hell out of them. DD
