Lets all hope that Josy is being treated by the Baltimore Ravens medical staff. I still remember that year that Ray Lewis tore his bicep, only to play a few weeks later, and Suggs popped his Achilles just to return less than 6 months as well. Grade 2 Hammy Strain ain't nothing.
tale of two halves for Beasley. first half he was getting continuously abused to the point I think he had his ankles broken on one play. second half was a much more positive outcome (most likely aided from from both Jones and Cameron supporting his position), but two his credit he looked a lot more confident as well.
That was a tough game to watch -- I can't believe the US can't produce a single world class superstar. We need to find a Calvin Johnson for 2018.
phenomenal ratings from game one, the trend is definitely upward. as more people watch, presumably more people will begin to play. does the u18 team have anyone promising for 2018? http://www.businessweek.com/article...n-ever-are-watching?google_editors_picks=true
Nope it is Kristen Ranaldo. You guys play one good game against an aging Spain and this comes out...tsk tsk. BTW - 85% of teams that won their first game advance.....just saying... DD
Only guy i've heard of is Erik Palmer-Brown...he is 17 and with sporting KC and they already turned down a 1 million dollar bid from Juventus. He's a CB, there's a few other kids with some good clubs in Europe but that's always been the case. Most don't turn out to be studs.
And rumors out of Brazil have him shutting it down now for the entire cup due to a knee flare up. Best defensive player = out with a card. Best offensive player = maybe out with a bad knee. Could this be our year?
not to mention the Ronaldo that was playing against Germany doesn't scare me at all... he had no passion at all!
Germany did very well to minimize his touches by crashing down on the mids...a strategy the US would do well to mimic. Even injured, I don't like the idea of him running at Johnson and Cameron. Coentrão is done for the tourney, too. If I were setting the lineup, I think I'd go with Johnson-Cameron-Besler-Beasley Bekerman-Jones Bradley Dempsey-Zusi Wondo The key is Bradley has to do better. He has to be more active in getting the ball out from the back. He was getting too deep and taking himself out of the offense, leaving the backs with no choice but to clear the ball. I think Zusi is better in possession than Bedoya and a better crosser. I like Wondo in because we'll need someone to just finish and that's what he does. If we get a late lead and need to possess, then you sub Johansson in.
Agree, I think Beckerman and Jones at the back helps anchor the defense and leaves Bradley more space up front to create chances. He just couldn't do **** against the Ghana attack. Wondo up front is probably the best course of action to begin with. He's going to at least have a few chances to finish inside the box.
