    Ha! Excellent find.

I remember story after story last year during preseason from John Harris and others arguing the OL would be good.

I'm starting to think obrien just can't evaluate talent at all

Watson anyone? We all knew Henderson had a pretty good rookie season and then Chrons disease set him back. Perhaps hes made progress overall in health. Who knows. Whats he supposed to say? He sucks? You might be looking a bit too much into coach speak.

No, henderson sucked his rookie season.

I would think it's coachspeak but every year he's wild overly optimistic on the garbage on the offensive roster.

Remember when he was excited to get Chicken and Shrimp?

No, he did not. Henderson had a good rookie season and led all NFL Players in performanced based pay. He stood out as far as the Bills rookies were concerned. Remember, he was a 7th round pick whom some had as high as a first round talent but him leaving early during pro day and mj positive test sent him plummeting. And he was rising as a Bills tackle efore the Chrons disease took hold.

I assume he met the incentives of playing games because he was suspended in college.

    PLAYER EVALUATIONS
    Bills Offensive Evaluation: Seantrel Henderson
    [IMG]

Seantrel Henderson fell in the 2014 draft because of possible maturity issues. He came in and started every game for then coordinator Nathaniel Hackett. He was seen as a possible steal in the draft, because he has the size and skills of a first round tackle according to Mike Mayock.“If you want to draw up a first-round offensive tackle, this is the kid.” -Mike Mayock

Henderson is 6’7″, 331 pounds, has the length you want at the tackle position with a 34 5/8″ reach and huge hands measuring in at 10 1/2″ hands. The guy is an absolute specimen, he possesses the physical measureables that you want at left tackle let alone right tackle.

    Statistics
    [IMG]

Henderson is still a young player in his first contract so his cap number isn’t that big. With the Bills looking to lock up Cordy Glenn, having a modest contract at the right tackle position is a plus. But the Bills need Henderson to produce. In order to produce we need the big guy on the field.

Henderson started every game in his rookie year. At times he struggled with his pass blocking. According to Pro Football Focus (PFF) he surrendered 6 QB sacks, 12 QB hits and 28 QB hurries. That was the 7th most total pressures given up by a tackle in the NFL. ]Wel, 2015 was no different. To start, Henderson only played in 10 games this past season. In the second week of December Henderson was diagnosed with Crohns disease and after the game versus the Chiefs he missed the rest of the season.“He has experienced severe stomach pain and has lost nearly 20 pounds, according to the source.”

According Carucci’s source he lost 20 pounds and he was listed on the injury report with an “illness”. Players have played in the league with that bowel disease, but for a guy his size keeping on the weight may present a problem.

To be fair, no head coach is going to say anything different than what O'Brien said. There's a good chance that he knew exactly what he was working with at OL but obviously he wasn't going to come out and tell the media anything other than that he was confident in the OL.

I'd give up both 2nds next year for Gronk..
    Reasons:
    1. it's EFFING Gronk, injuries aside, are you kidding me, just imagine that weapon with Watson.
    2. It is actually a position we REALLY NEED and are looking at spending an early pick on anyways
    3. They got a first for Cooks and a 2nd for Jimmy G, any of you offering a single 3rd for Rob Gronkowski are smoking something too strong.
    4. ITS ROB EFFING GRONKOWSKI.....

This would be so Texans lol- there is a reason he is still out there. Like seriously - if you are thin on RB than go get CJ Anderson. or any other RB (you already know what blue is going to give you

I would believe it's coachspeak if he did something different.

But usually when he says stuff like this he follows through on it until it's a disaster in a real game.

That's fair, but at the same time it's not like he had any great backup options on the OL. He was pretty much stuck with what he had.
