Most of Broussard's reasoning is affected by conference, yet he never mentioned it. Dishonest and Shameful Hope Skip and Shannon continue without an agenda.
If Harden has a bad game, regardless if Rockets win/lose tonight, Skip and Shannon will change their mind tomorrow lol. You just watch.
Skip and Shannon both say Harden but Chris Broussard says it's Giannis. Only one of these guys has a vote though, can you guess which one it is?
It's annoying how Skip keeps saying that Derozan elbow wasn't a foul. Did Harden flop back to draw attention to it? Yes of course, because you have to do that in the NBA nowadays to get the call. But hitting someone in the face with an elbow, even inadvertently, is always called a foul in the NBA. Harden gets those calls against him all the time. I remember one time Dwight got a *flagrant* for inadvertently hitting Lowry in the face with his elbow. Harden also got a flagrant for whacking Jerebko in the face inadvertently. Skip is simply incorrect in stating that it wasn't a foul or was a "phantom" foul.
Broussard also ignores Paul was playing hurt early on, and sucked. Rockets didn't begin poorly because Harden wasn't playing well. Be honest and there's no need to omit obvious facts.
Totally agree. We all remember GARM when CP sucked it up in the beginning of the season, there were threads and discussions about him being washed up, overpaid, etc. They want to put all of that blame on Harden. I keep hearing the excuse "Harden has another elite play maker on his team" as a knock against him. Not only did CP sit out 24 games this season, his PPG is the lowest season average in his entire career.
All these people have too much time to fill. Same stuff every single day. Until recently no one talked or even cared about the MVP.
To my eyes, watching the replay, Harden was clearly hit in the face. It was a glancing blow, which is why it looked like nothing to Harden-haters, but I don't care how tough you are - you get an elbow upside your nose, your head is going to reflexively snap back just like Harden's did.
This show uses the same blue print of First Take and has a former first take actor/commentator. Chris Broussard gets paid by how many times he says 'Ler Brawn'
I actually think Broussard take is pretty fair tbh, i expected it to be worst, where he's 100% wrong for me is on the roster aspect, the Rockets have a better roster than Milwaukee at full strenght, but for months we had 2/3 of our best players injured for like 15/20 games like they said, those are a lot of games especially considering the Bucks are like what? 5/6 games above the Rockets in terms of record? And in the hardest conference. Rockets at full strenght from the start of the season without injuries have probably the same record as the Bucks now.
Didn't Westbrook get the vote because he had those "moments" late in the season when Harden didn't and it sealed it? Again, there's a great case to be made for Giannis, but the lack of context as far teammates, conference and level of competition goes, just lacks integrity. Giannis just like Harden has a very decent supporting cast. The fact that we're not winning big and Harden has to score that much and do all those things, should go in his favour because he's that important to the team. Not sure how that is for Giannis, I don't watch the Bucks but Lopez, Mirotic, Middleton, Bledsoe, those are no slouches. And the level of competition Harden is doing this to: Warriors, Spurs, Celtics. Utah, Milwaukee even. Can someone who watches the Bucks tell me actually how they're doing with Giannis out of the line-up and how he's doing against big teams? Let's see if we can make a fair case for him, because y'all are too emotional and Giannis has a case.
