Yeah this is getting lost in the story here that Zelinsky is in a real tight spot with trying to rally Europe and the US by his side to thwart off Putin in Crimea where they are under constant threat by Russia taking more and more of their country. That conversation being shared really can be used to undermine his national interest.

Another point we are also missing is what a dream this is for Putin. I’m willing to take a bet now that there had to be some sort of directive from Putin to Trump to withhold aid and press Zelinsky. Nobody wanted that conversation out in the public to undermine Zelinsky more than Putin.

People keep on asking why in the world would Trump think it was a good idea to release this memo are missing the point time and time again that if it serves Putin’s interest, it always seems to be top of the list for Trump to execute on.

Again I’m willing to bet that I think we are about to hear about a potential Russian directive somewhere here in this story.

The Internal polls (drawn up by Baron Trump), are looking really good, really good. A lot of people are saying that we're doing amazing things.

He thinks he can just deny that he screwed up and this continuation of the investigation of Russia’s involvement in 2016. His sycophants (and the usual conservative pundits who need those sycophants for advertising dollars) will agree but everyone else will see through the Wizard of Oz’s ruse.

He committed a crime, admitted to it before realizing the gravity of the crime, and this is not related to Russia.

I mean earlier this year he admitted that he doesn't think there is anything wrong with getting information from foreign countries about his political opponents. He really didn't believe it was a big deal...EVEN AFTER MUELLER...

This guy is an idiot, I have no idea why so many conservatives are so determined to let him steer their boat. He's not even tougher on Immigration than Obama lol.

He is not an idiot. He is very selfish and entitled, and has been his whole life. He thinks he can do whatever he wants without punishment because for the most part he has done just that throughout his life.

Agree to disagree then, but he's certainly entitled too, I guess it's a combination of that and stupidity.

After the whole Mueller incident he goes and tries to do basically the same thing for 2020 with Biden.

Maybe it is being bold, but I feel like if he were smart he'd at least be discreet about it. He was anything but, so much so that some people feel like it is a trap. Maybe it is, maybe this is "4D" chess in a way that he's just going to prove that he can get away with anything he wants and that in itself is cementing power.

He had a previous story stating that his reason was that other countries were not helping in aid and therefore the US shouldn't help. He has like 5 different changing stories on why he withheld aid.
