I was in a little market in Cleveland before the Astros game, and lo and behold, I almost literally run into Werdum and another guy (a manger or trainer I assume). I asked about his fight Saturday night, and we talked a little. He asked where I was from, if I was watching the fight, etc. I wished him luck this weekend, and he thanked me.

Then, he and his friend sat and polished off a big bottle of orange juice and watched YouTube while my wife and I sat at the table next to them and ate.

Seems like a nice guy. Really soft spoken. I think he was afraid of breaking my hand because his hand shake was very soft. Lol. Just thought that was odd. Also, he made me look fairly small, which is hard to do. Cool experience.

Funny thing is, I thought he was Cain Velasquez at first. Took me a second. Glad I didn't put my foot in my mouth.

Edit: his friend, the guy who took the picture, was his fight coach, Rafael Cordiero.

Pretty cool. Good thing you didn't say Cain...but I'm sure he would've laughed at that.
