My suggestion for the uber small lineup based on what I've seen with Parsons out. Not a fan of small lineups at all but if McHale insists on using one then might as well go all the way. PG Beverly SG Lin SF Harden PF Parsons C Smith play 2-3 or 2-2-1 zone on defense to take advantage of our quickness on D since we always helping on D anyway. The ball movement when Beverly Harden and Lin were together against the Blazers was something to watch.
The sequences where Harden, Lin and Beverley were on the floor at the same time worked REALLY well last night. I was surprised. Maybe that doesn't fly against teams with better SFs or better SGs, but I'd definitely like to see McHale work to get Beverly more and more playing time. That kid is a spark plug every time he is on the floor.
Lin+Bev look good but they were out there likely as a matchup thing-- Portland had Lilliard+Maynard out there (as they often did after acquiring Maynard).
Won't get a chance to run that line-up too often. I would have liked to see Bev-Lin-Harden against GSW's Jack-Curry-Klay line-up though.
I love the way Smith plays in small ball, but that lineup could help or hurt. I do like when the Rockets are the aggressor and force small ball on opponents.
