We would be ok if there were a few players that could shoot, rebound and play defense. We have little to none of that.
Like I said... over reacting! Feel free to bash some more if you want but the Rockets are back on track.
who's overreacting? rockets are finally above .500! THE ROCKETS ARE THE BEST TEAM IN THE WHOLE WIDE WOOORLD!
You just bumped a thread with the rockets finally breaking .500 while completely ignoring the easy schedule and the crappy teams we have lost to. If anything, I'd say you were overreacting. Coaches don't get fired, GM's aren't in the hot seat, and trade rumors surrounding key players don't just circulate around. Acting like we're on path to do anything, let alone win a ring is delusional. That doesn't mean we can't be optimistic...I honestly think its a perfect year to tank and get a good pick. Howard is on the decline and I think James can be a main guy on a championship team, but not the guy. The rockets need more talent, and its not going to come through the FA based on their perception around the league.
if one thinks .500 is some sort of achievement by this team, then yeah, it's overreacting. otherwise...
Yeah like u said we all over reacting. How many games did u really watch this season. Hell we lost to the freaking Nets and Nuggets team twice, and NY. That's just bad
Hahahaha, the team that made the WCF is at 0.500 and we have fans telling us we are back on track.....
Since OP started this thread, there's been a Coach fired, ultimatum thrown at Morey, players on trade blocks, scorer wanted... The rockets overreacted to me not the fans.
It depends upon your expecations as a fan, if you wanted a .500 team and a 7th seed, then sure it is fine. If you wanted a championship contender, there is a lot more to do, we need a 10+ game winning streak. DD
I wish people that don't actually watch the games wouldn't post... cause if everyone actually WATCHED the games (rather than just looking at the box score and going 'oh well.. we'll get it together...') they would understand the negativity... i'm so sick of all the posters that wanna bury their head in the sand and say people aren't 'real fans' for lodging valid complaints and concerns... That said, big improvement on defensive intensity vs Charlotte - hopefully we can build on it...
Honestly, I know why people on here are almost throwing in the towel with this team. It has more to do with the Rockets not getting a piece to get better than last year than anything else. Houston most likely will not see the WCF again this season as SA and GS may have that on lock. Unfortunately after last year many of you hoped that the Rockets could get back there and hopefully win a championship, but we all know that isn't happening. But 50 wins is still attainable and getting home court is about the best we can ask for this season. It's not completely ideal but for what is out there I will take this this time around. I prefer to enjoy the team that we have than to be upset over the team we DON'T have right now.
