I'm only cynical when it comes to the Rockets offseason. Now the regular season could be four guys from the Y and James Harden and I'm like "Harden is getting that ring, DPOY, MVP, and FMVP!"

can you imagine what it is like to have this sort of power? I mean something you probably spent 3-4 seconds doing will spurs countless hours of discussions all over the NBA landscape (or any other area for that matter depending on where your sphere of influence is)

I would love to be in that position to do it for fun. I would totally start following for example Butler and TJ McDonnell and stop following Chris Paul just to see the reactions and talking heads the next day.

Unlikely since the owner has changed.. the new owner chose to break the team without fair replacement that almost had done the job ( if not for injury and biased officiating)... if you don't care about winning with a 65 win team and chose to downgrade it rather than upgrading...then it is unlikely he'll care much ever.

 

Brown said to expect fireworks and now this.. unless he likes to have egg on his face this is a positive sign imo.

There is something like this for everyone from Carmelo Anthony.... to Chris Bosh..... to LaMarcus Aldridge.... to Dwight Howard.

It is worth a thread and OP is very measured in his posts/opinions.

I am just of the opinion that I will believe it when I see it, it is a real long shot for a host of reasons.

Did he follow those guys on social media while we were pursuing them ? Honest question. If so, there really is nothing to see here.

 

Morey has followed others before.

I don't think Tad following Butler is necessarily a sign he's coming. Tad is doing exactly what he needs to do. Generate buzz around the team when we are completely capped out and very few ways to improve the roster.

Morey is a creative genius and will find a way to get us guys who shock us this year. He doesn't completely botch two off seasons in a row. It just hasn't happened before.

But we are pretty handcuffed and Butler is the only established free agent star that is remotely possible. Tilman definitely asked Tad to get the narrative going. It's why he said fireworks. It's why he is following him.
