So Knicks have given up LeBron? Walsh said he would let LeBron choose the long man he wants to play with.

Part of me is happy because this means the Rockets won't get Amare. Part of me is worried that it might lure LeBron to NY.

I'll wait until wednesday to see if Lebron comes. If he doesn't come, it's good news for the Rockets.

I don't think that you have to worry about Amare luring LeBron to NY. The Knicks IMO are, even with Amare, worse than they were last year. There is no one else on that team that is a good player.

Nah, JJ's never been injury prone. I betcha Amare comes up hobbling within a couple of years.

You do know Amar'e's knees are ticking time bombs right?

I see Amar'e on the bench in a suit by 2013

I believe Lebron is going to join him in New York. There goes our value of their draft picks.....

I was really hoping that Amare would end up in Miami with Wade. I think he would have had a much better chance to win there, plus he could have made more after-tax income in Miami.

Guess he really wanted that limelight. Have fun winning 30-35 games next year, dude!

nah, I'm sure this has the opposite effect on LBJ. If He wanted Amar'e on the Cavs he could have made it happen last year at the trade deadline remember?

yeah, I'm glad this seems to mean he won't be playing for the Rockets. He just seems too immature for me.

Couldn't keep his mouth shut about the deal before it was done (which probably weakened the Knicks bargaining position with other FA), running his mouth about Tony Parker, and Carmelo... Talented but selfish and bad for chemistry. And a legit injury concern going forward. Any time you need to have a 'clear the air' meeting with a potential coach before you sign due to a bad history, it's probably not a good thing.

Unless the Knicks add someone else really good (a great PG), I doubt this is really going to help them, and could blow up in their faces.
