The Simpsons, today, are the epitome of a functional family. It's funny, because when it started it wasn't really like that. But I'm with you, people who say the Simpsons are offensive are either old or just don't watch it. If anything, it's become a bit too PG and lost some of its edge accordingly. Now, if we're talking 15/20 years ago I would agree with you. Then again, 15/20 years ago the idea of a single woman having a career and being a single mother was offensive television as well.
not having seen jessica jones i thought the leather jacket detective part was a wiseguy parody/reference
Funny, how man people got the #cancelthesimpsons wrong. The Roseanne and Kavanaugh references were hilarious, also: "Sometimes, PC babies don't even know what they're crying about".
best episode of the season this week. bringing towlie back as a quality inspector was hilarious. glad to see he got a new job besides drying people off.
Feels like we're backsliding quite a bit in terms of quality since the premiere. Oh well. The weed episodes are typically funny, but this one just felt lazy.
It'll be interesting to see how this plays out. Parker & Stone have always mocked Climate Change, but this time, I'm not sure where they're headed. "The Problem with a Poo" is easily the best one of the season so far.
