Anybody else watching? Second episode airs tonight.

I think it has a lot of potential.

For those of you who don't know, its on Fox and stars Andy Samberg. Its a comedy about detectives in Brooklyn.

Its alright. 30 minutes seems too short for anything involving a police case. I realize it is a comedy and therefore the storyline isn't hugely important, but cramming a crime, investigation, then arrest into 30 minutes seems rushed. It felt this way last episode.

I really enjoyed last weeks episode, and not just because I find Andy Samberg to be absolutely adorable. I laughed quite a bit.

Funnier than I expected and I don't normally put comedies in my TV rotation. I'll continue to watch.

Yeah, it was a good first episode. I thought it was pretty funny.

I watched and enjoyed every episode of Good Guys, so I'll probably be okay with this. The secretary (who was also in the Louie pilot) could get exasperating.

I haven't seen it yet but will give it a chance solely because of Terry Crews.

This show is surprisingly really good.

Agree with the comment about the secretary lady getting annoying.

You talking about Chelsea Peretti? I've enjoyed her so far, but I'm a fan. I can see how other people might not like her, but she's a made man in comedy. Besides being a stand up, she was a writer on the Sarah Silverman Show and Parks and Rec.

Shocked that people like it. The commercials looked terrible. I'll give it a shot if I can find the pilot on again.

Strong pilot but that 2nd episode was nothing to write home about.

Wow, I'm surprised by the love. I guess I'm the only one who found it boring and the jokes too predictable. I wanted to like it...but I just didn't find it funny.

Second episode was definitely not as strong as the first. They're going to need to change up the plot a bit- I can see the typical story line of Samberg constantly disobeying the chief getting old. Only one show I don't mind having the same plot every time -Phineas & Ferb.

Did anyone see that cringeworthy show The Goldbergs? My goodness, that was terrible TV. I shut it off without finishing. ABC cancels Happy Endings and brings on that crap?

The new show that was on right after The Goldbergs was funny

If the dialogue is decent and they rotate in some good funny guest spots with competent comedic actors it will have the feel as Mindy and New Girl; I love both of those shows but OMMV (so much blog hate for ZD).

Apologies for not knowing your age, but I wonder if you remember Wonder Years' popularity and ever saw Happy Days in syndication. Somewhere in the '70s TV replaced escapist cowboy and WWII nostalgia with suburban retrospectives like these; and Fox even saved their '90s sitcom lineup with That '70s Show.

This show has at least five years in it; because for better or worse I think middle-aged parents eat this stuff up as it directly alleviates their current anxieties: that they're the responsible ones now, that they're not as cool as they used to be and that somehow they're doing worse than their parents. Watching Jack Arnold yell at Alley Mills about Pepsi or hearing Turn-Turn-Turn before every commercial break intoxicated boomers the same way hearing REO Speedwagon has been doing for X-ers since the early '90s. I'd take Dueling Kennedys, "flowy pants" and Deep V-Neck interventions five days a week; but Happy Endings was too snarky, gay and possibly too interracial for a lot of the core broadcast audience.

I love 80's style shows and 80's future shows too. I was actually excited to watch the Goldbergs, but it was awful; I thought it was going to be much better. Only thing good i took away from the show were the retro sneakers! the middle child was wearing black toe Jordan 1s and the youngest was wearing some nike dunks.

Can't believe no one watched Happy Endings, it was an amazing show.
