    That was pretty awesome.

Stevie Franchise was one of the runners up to the NEXT great player to change their sport - Yao Ming

    Quotes from Bill Walton, etc.

I wish I had a copy of that magazine for my collection.

ESPN Magazine NEXT (from 2 years ago)

They focussed on players who would change their sport. First they ran through the runner ups: Andrew Jones, Stevie Franchise, and someone else....

The first person they featured was Yao Ming. Melissa Stark started talking about Ming (with a Giant Sized ESPN Magazine cover behind her with Yao's picture on it).

They interviewed Bill Walton and some other guy.

They talked about the Jordan camp.

They showed footage of him in Shanghai

They showed him blocking Vince Carter and Payton in the 2000 Olympics.

Then they said that Yao wanted to play in the NBA by the age of 22 and that teams would line up for his services.

They interviewed Yao and the Coach.

    Great 2 minute piece.

Then they talked to Donovan McNabb (terrible Afro)....
I stopped watching after they stopped talking about Yao.

We often like to b**** about how wrong the media is, but this piece was unbelievablely accurate.
