But the thing is judging by Morris's game you can tell he can play. I don't know where all this hate came from. D-Mo on the other hand looks completely lost in the NBA yet he's a favorite on here. Go figure
What knuckle headed stuff is he doing?? Being nervous or out of rhythm doesn't equal knucklehead. He's doing the right things off the ball, playing D, listening to coaches, all the opposite of a knucklehead.
The sad thing is that Morris played well in his first game. He hustled for boards, hustled for shots, but simply missed some. The only difference is that tonight, he wasn't as rusty and hit more shots.
No. But he did hold his own. He was not staring down Asik's gauntlet. And did everyone pay attention to Smiths game tonight? He probably is a player the Rockets FO is targeting with that Max Contract.
I can live with this guy. Restores faith in Morey as well (as if we weren't all in love with Morey right now anyways).
This. The coaching staff has raved about his overall play and shot-making since he showed up to training camp. As I've mentioned before, I got a chance to ask J.B. Bickerstaff about Morris LATE last season. He was honestly very high on Morris despite his subpar rookie campaign and believed he had very high upside offensively. Even though the fans were pretty down on him, the staff still was high on him and believed in his ability. For him to re-dedicate himself this offseason (his first REAL offseason as an NBA player with access to NBA facilities and coaching staff), it does not surprise me to see the Rockets' staff trusting him with a rotation spot. Especially now that they have TWO great penetrators in Harden and Lin.
Sounds like opponents know Morris can shoot....

With that in mind, Marcus Morris checks in to try to get the Hawks to stop packing the paint behind double teams. I believe I was the first to apologise to him via Twitter...humble pie has never tasted so sweet! Hoping that he can keep it up.
