The onanism news network. Massaging all the news vigorously until total self satisfaction is achieved.

This is the danger with news balkanization. Blindness to the far right enabled the mainstream to not see trump coming. Blindness to everything BUT the far right is how Trump is driving himself over a cliff.

Trump's news selectivity generates a positive feedback loop where his own most self destructive impulses are reinforced by the praise he so deeply craves. It was a hallmark of all the Kaisers and Tzars and Emperors of the 19th century who ended up with their heads seperated from their bodies, too.

 

Sounds like I need to bookmark it.

You know what's weird to me: The Epoch Times. It's a right wing rag but all of the 'journalists' (can we call people that now?) don't have American last names. Yeah, they might be 1st and 2nd generation. I don't know. I just want a real unbiased news source to emerge. Something that can be the benchmark and that the left and the right would agree is neutral.

Reuters is good in my opinion.

 

Somehow YouTube's metrics have decided I'm their perfect target audience and probably 95% of the ads are for Epoch Times. The other day I had back to back ads, as youtube has started doing.

The first made it clear that there was no doubt that Covid 19 is no big deal and is all just a liberal hoax to get The Donald. The second equally forcefully left no room for interpretation that Covid 19 was a bioweapon attack by the Chinese government and we should all be terrified and enraged.

Literally back to back ads.

I get nauseous every time I see their spokesman with his Uncanny Valley American accent.

 

I think NBC gives the best coverage.

 

I humbly disagree, it has to be Fox News...

 

I wonder what she is doing these days.

 

Maybe OANN will pick her up since she's a free agent. I'm sure they only hire the best...
