Guys don't try to blame everything on Trump, Obama was outplayed by Putin too. I think your system can only pruduce leaders can catch attention in front of a camera, not actual competent leaders.
What you’re talking about is personality ethic vs character ethic, which is a whole different discussion and a deep issue for our country. It’s not what you DO it’s what you LOOK like and SAY. Trump is the head on the abscess of this problem, though.

Trump is exposing the ridiculous ideology of Americans. "We need to cut military spending" "We need to stop policing the world" "We need to stop the endless wars" ....... "We need to stop Russia, China, Turkey and North Korea from walking all over us" Trump has absolutely put this country in a bad position. And that is not even taking in consideration of the impending recession. Whoever wins the 2020 election will have some serious problems to face. Im not sure any candidates for 2020 will have what it takes. While it seems dim, its still much better than 2016. Maybe we need to elect AOC for 4 years for Americans to wake up from their ignorance.

Kim rejecting Trump publicly like that should be a huge slap in the face and national embarrassment for our country. For any other president to put on that big a show and then spectacularly fail as Trump has, they’d be voted out of office, probably in the primaries. Instead, no one will care and we’ll continue on with the daily dog and pony show of the Trump administration. Honestly, wouldn’t be surprised to see Trump pull out of South Korea next year and allow the North Koreans to walk in and take over (sort of like the Turks and Kurds). Dark times indeed. We definitely aren’t “Making America Great” globally.
Here's the thing. Those of us that knew Trump was screwing up with N. Korea, find this as no surprise. For those who think Trump is a great foreign policy mover and shaker, they won't pay any attention or will use tenuous rationalization to enable themselves to ignore it and make excuses for it.
