Not misquoted: I saw the video. Ah, the slaves coming to fulfill dreams for their children and grandchildren.
Immigrant is defined as one who comes to live permanently in another country. So the slaves were immigrants, though not by choice. I would also hope that the slaves did dream their progeny would become prosperous.
Objection, live permanently speaks to motivation. I doubt any slaves thought they'd be permanent residents of wherever the hell they were being taken. Good to see you fighting the good fight still.
The immigrant line is much ado about nothing. There are more important things for people to get angry over. It was just a poorly thought out line in a speech that no one was paying attention to otherwise.
It certainly speaks to the tone deaf stupidity and viciousness of yet another Trump politico. It's more than a trend at this point.
Hey, "small government" conservatives will LOVE to literally play nanny to a bunch of orphanized Mexican children. We can build Boys' Towns and Girls' Towns where the politicians can come and say "Hola" to the tender orphans. You heard of "Pizzagate"? Just wait until we start collecting "orphans"!
Thank you, and exactly. We have a bunch of really immoral, data-dismissing ideologues driving the country's bus right now. Terrifying to be on board, literally. Sometimes it seems like they wake up wondering "how could we be mean to a powerless person today." What. The. ****.
Interesting, Flynn actually was working as a foreign agent while he was a top advisor in the Trump campaign. You can't make this stuff up. http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/wireStory/trump-aide-flynn-lobbying-helped-turkey-46011946
The claim Trump didn't know is questionable at best (and more likely, as usual, a lie): Top Democrat sent letter to Mike Pence in November warning of Michael Flynn's Turkey lobbying http://www.businessinsider.com/elij...mike-pence-about-flynn-turkey-lobbying-2017-3
Either way, Trump put a foreign agent as the head of the NSA. Good thing the intel community aren't dummies. Trump makes horrible decisions.
This is an interesting story... a significant disagreement between Mattis and Trump. And the second big disagreement between Trump and one of his cabinet appointees over a deputy secretary (Tillerson wanted Elliot Abrams who Trump nixed). Mattis' Pentagon pick seen as supporter of Muslim Brotherhood, group Trump may outlaw http://www.foxnews.com/politics/201...uslim-brotherhood-group-trump-may-outlaw.html
The graph on that page shows 25 Egyptian casualties in 24 years from the Muslim Brotherhood. Scary indeed! OMG OMG Mattis' pick disrespected protestors. Trump would never disrespect "street protests" She definitely knows less than Trump and we do about the Middle East Wouldn't wanna piss off the Egyptian public. We're all about showing respect to Middle Eastern peoples!
I don't know why Trump keep coming up with these stupid lies. Of course he knew about Flynn's Turkey connection, it was widely reported.
