Yes, his not getting any younger, yes, he has great contract to net us decent player if not great player, but i see so many people wanting to trade him, even for players that are not all stars, or even stars, i feel like the dude been amazing for us, also best defender on the team, people always feel like the grass is greener somewhere else, but i think his a cornerstone of our team, there are other ways to improve our team without trading one of the better players and soul of our team!
I can't believe we traded Ariza for Rudy Gay. It's really happening. Spoiler Kidding. Did I fool anyone?
Ariza is getting up there in age and will be hard to replace. Not because of talent, as he's quite limited, but because of his salary. His contract is a bargain compared to the new ones players are getting. Allen Crabbe got $18+ million a year from Brooklyn and he's hot garbage. And Portland matched! Any quality defensive wing that can shoot 40% from deep and never turn the ball over is getting $20+ million going forward.
I knew we hadn't traded Trevor Ariza but I was curious enough to click the thread; usually such thread titles are reserved for the recently-departed (so to speak) Rockets.
He is still a Rocket so protocol says you don't create an Appreciation thread. Me thinks this is a jinx thread with OP wanting Ariza traded. [Premium Post] Delete thread. Ban OP.
Been a pleasant surprise this year. Shooting 40% from three so far and an above average PER of 15.6. Compare this to a guy we were apparently going after in the offseason - Kent Bazemore. Has a PER of of 12.0 and is shooting just 33% from three. We have Ariza this year and next at about $7.5 million. With the current salary cap, can you say BARGAIN? Meanwhile, Atlanta is paying Bazemore about twice as much this year, and that salary will continue to escalate. He has a player option for $19,269,663 in 2019. Enjoy that, Hawks. Maybe spending a bunch of money on him and Dwight probably has something to do with your horrific offense.
I love that guy. The engine of this team. The only one that can call out Harden on D. Most underated player of clutch fans.
Damn it. How many times have Ariza waited for smeone outside their locker side??? Isn't this like the 5th or 6th times he try to fight someone after a game??? DUDE DUDE THIS AIN"T COMPTON " Tim MacMahon ESPN Staff Writer Trevor Ariza, joined by several teammates, waited outside the Mavs locker room for several minutes, apparently wanting to confront Salah Mejri. The Rockets eventually left without incident.
You be sayin East Coast rap is better than West Coast rap bro? You want to fight!??? Meet me outside the YMCA Locker room, 8 pm , Thursday.
Ariza is this teams Battier .... the glue that holds it all together. I just cant see Morey being that stupid , statistical analysis be damned ..... He aint going anywhere this season.
