We have a great thing going, maybe once in a life time as a fan...really hate to jinx it but someone please remind Rockets #16 Fri, Dec 3, 1993 @ Atlanta Hawks L 111-133 http://www.basketball-reference.com/teams/HOU/1994_games.html I still was hurt to this day that those Hawks ended then league-best 15 game winning streak (well it's on the 2nd leg of a back to back). History shall not repeat...Just please don't look past the next two opponents. One game at a time: 20 One game at a time: 21 One game at a time: 22......
The Hawks are still a playoff team...and they are playing with more confidence now, according to some analysts
Thats quite cool and thanks for informing us. Just watch out in a couple hours all the superstitous people who think there way is the only way are going to come on and bash you for jinxing us.
It was all Kenny Smith's fault that we lost! Throwing up an 0-fer while getting lit up by Mookie Blaylock more than provided the margin of victory!! I was still glad to see Hakeem light Ewing up in MSG after the Knicks proclaimed to the press that they would end the streak LOL There was so much attention on that game that the Rox suffered a big letdown next time out...otherwise 23-0 was there for the taking (we WERE 22-1, remember). Much more important than any streak was the fact that the season ended with the 1st of TWO championships!
The Rockets also lost there last year when they were playing well without Yao, so I hope they don't think this is a gimme. Also, I'm going to the Bobcats game on Friday, so they better still have the streak intact.
l ready brought this up to some co-workers. Lets hope history does not repeat itself. Unless Dominique suits up, I feel pretty confident...
Well I don't see Mookie Blaylock or Dominique walking into the Omni -- oops -- whatever they have in Atlanta now--- So no worries. Damn I feel like I am jinxing it just by typing this. Every game I watch I think to myself "Wow, tonight is the night it ends".. And I don't want it to end -- I want Tim Leglar to keep eating crow http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/dailydime?page=dime-080311
It's the NBA. Anyone can win any night. I get annoyed when people are convinced some games are automatic wins. It's not like we're a division I team playing a division II team...and that still didn't work out for Michigan.
