Houston trades Moochie(BYC1), Kenny Thomas, and Collier to Cleveland. Cleveland trades Mihm, Stith, and Jumaine Jones to Dallas. Dallas trades Avery Johnson to Houston Rockets 1- Francis, AJ, (Brown/Maddox) 2- Mobely, (Torres) 3- Rice, Nachbar, Morris 4- Taylor, Griffin 5- Ming, Cato AJ is a proven floor general with a one year contract and Dallas doesn't need him. (Already likes Houston) Cleveland will probably trade Miller, so Mooch can handle starting duty for half this season for this tanking team. Cleveland fans can overlook the tanking by focusing on KT's hustle (just as we did.) Collier gets paid less for a similar length contract and can do just as much as Mihm. Dallas fans will like Mihm. (they root for Shawn and Evan, right?) Stith can fill in for the departed Buckner, J.Jones for Wang Zhizhi.(Lebron will replace them anyway) We get rid of Collier. (at least RealGM said it was accepted.)
Kenny Thomas? i dont know much, but i do know that when i went to games kenny thomas' name was always flashing cause he did something good i guess.
KENNY THOMAS is one of the STARS of the Houston Rockets, at least he was last season! Why would you get rid of one of your best players, especialy one who keeps on improving each season and does not demand a lot of money!!
Thats a bad trade just because we would have to listen to Avery Johnson's little helium voice in postgame interviews.
Ok. Fair enough. It sounded a lot better in my head Don't look at this trade for just one season, but over the scope of multiple seasons. What it can do for the Rockets: -free up money (Mooch's contract/ KT's extension) for future moves (like a "Shandon Special" for Rashard for example) -frees up time for Eddie -gets rid of dead weight Collier -Gives Mooch and KT their minutes (maybe good for Rockets rep) A good backup point guard isn't a hard postion to fill. In fact I'd rather have a veteran backup pg with playoff exp. than the Mooch. (And AJ has a lot of experience with this through the help of Porter). And unless KT looks forward to his role in the Rockets future, he probably won't stay anyways. Maybe I should have thrown in a Dallas first rounder. Whatever.
At this stage, I think I like Norris at the backup slot as opposed to Johnson.....just my preference. KT? Avery is not worth KT straight up, much less with throw ins. Keep KT! If not, get something we NEED. Now, manuever this trade a bit, and get me Jumaine Jones, and we can talk.
Man, you've got to save these sorts of threads for August and September, the really, really painful months, when there isn't even summer league. Argh to the off-season for NBA.
I could..... How about Griffin and Francis for Shawn Bradley? 2 guys 7'5 and taller would surely dominate!
Are you a Dallas fan? We trade a bunch of players and Dallas gets a bunch of players and we get AJ. Sounds like a great idea to me.
