Smh we cannot trade J.J. The community would hate the Texans, his contract is way too big and he doesn’t have that type of value to be traded.
He has a big contract and he has been hurt for 2 straight years. He is untradeable. Also he is most charitable athlete in Houston. The pitchforks will out if you trade him and rightfully so for what he has done for the city.
We gotta give him one more year to be healthy at least... trading him now we wouldn't get great value back.
You can’t let your emotions get in the way of business. It would be the smart thing to do but the Texans won’t do it.
You know me. I have been saying this for years. He is addition by subtraction. One of the worst contracts in the eggball league for someone always injured. It's fine, I have to accept that people will attack me only to realize years later that I am right. it's called intellect and foresight. - Ask those who attacked me for calling McFail a terrible hire and useless coach - Or when I said Samuel Dekker will be a bust. - Or when I said Harden is without doubt a far superior player and best athlete in Houston You can ask @Snow Villiers
Emotion is what holding y'all back. You need to be ruthless or forever sink in medicority and embarassment with 2-14 seasons. Let bygones be bygones It's like a broken marriage. You know it's all over but you still stuck in that ****. No progress will be made.
Agreed. A real franchise player. Good for you guys. Let's hope he doesn't pick up any bad habits from the previous "franchise" player. BTW, this is Watson's team. he is the real alpha. You should just let him run with it or I warn you that you will end up with a much worse Harden-Howard ego clash.
Yup and he is the face of the franchise now not Watt. That's another thing we need to come to terms with if we truly want to win the superbowl.
Brilliant plan, sell at the lowest possible point on a future HOFer. Even if you are one of those weirdos who simply hate Watt, now wouldn't be the time to trade him.
If and that’s a big if, you were to trade JJ, it would have to be after this year, assuming he stays healthy and regains a solid form. That’s only way to get value in return. At this point, best option is to see if he comes back as a productive player and stays healthy
To me he is like kobe for the lakers. You saw the lakers give kobe his money and didnt trade him due to the respect he gained with that organization and fans. Watt has done so much for this organization and community, similiar situation. No player in our lifetime may ever be as good as watt was/is. Then if we trade watt after all he has given to the city would be a huge mistake. Other players around the leauge would take notice and not want to play here. He derveses to be here until he decides to call it quits.
