Well I really hate to begin with the "I told you so's" but it is obvious that had the Rockets made this trade, they would be in playoff position right now. Sure it hurts to lose Landry, but you get a guy like Haywood who can play with Scola, along with Songolia. Also we'd have Stevenson to be another scoring option when Tmac sits down. Morey made some great moves, and Yao's injury isn't his fault. Or Maybe it is. But regardless, with hindsight being 20/20... this trade would have kept us a contender.

You're fooling yourself if you can't see that the combined brain power of Etan Thomas and Shane Battier. They wouldn't even have to lift a finger, their brains would crush the competition. Darius Songolia is a good shooter and Deshawn Stevenson is clutch. We'd still have gotten rid of Bonzi and also Luther like most people wanted. The only downside is losing Landry, but when you can make a move to get a talented writer like Etan Thomas, you give up those pieces every time.
