Good thing Capela signed his extension first.

Or maybe the Wolves overpaid by a lot. Time will tell.

Good for the twolves. I love Capela but he isn’t KAT despite the last playoffs.

This extension proves Jimmy B will be traded in short order. I wonder if that fact weakens the T-Wolves negotiating position with other teams.

Maxing out softies like Wiggins and Towns will probably haunt the franchise. I still believe Towns could end up being a top 10 player. 50/50 chance. Wiggins, on the other hand, clearly will never get there because he isn't passionate about basketball.

That $190M contract is huge number but he hasn't missed a game in 3 years, averaged 20ppg and 10rb last year and looks to be a perennial AS, you can't say that about Embiid or Porzingis. I can't think of any other guy on a rookie deal that was more deserving of the kind of extension he got.

This just goes to show who the best GM in the league is. We got the guy who dominated Towns when it counts for $100 million less. I think the Minnesota fans need to switch teams.

On a side note - Capela gonna be maaaaad! Hopefully, he's a competitor not just out for the money.

I hope it motivates him to show the world he's worth that 190 million dollar deal on his next contract.

Thibbs is also part of the problem. His style of coaching is prehistoric. He's cut from the same cloth as JVG, slow muddy pace, defensive minded, but absolutely no creativity or movement offensively. He's just not fit to coach in today's game

KAT will have the same fate as Kevin Garnett in Minnesota.

What a mess of a franchise. How much talent has played there that they haven't been able to utilize effectively? KG wasted his prime there; Al Jefferson and Kevin Love were solid while there. Right up there qi th Sacramento for incompetence

I look at KAT's parents and wonder how in the world did they have an athletic, 7-foot son that would sign a max deal in the NBA.

    You just never know.

You don't think Morey would have given him a supermax? I mean he just gave cp3 a max and few years from now it will be a bad contract. Kat is healthy and he put up us 20/10 on 65ts% and he can hit 3s.

You can't judge older people based on their appeance like that, KAT's dad played 2 years of college ball and was listed at 6'6 . He was probably closer to 6'4 without shoes, and probably has had some back/knee and posture problems that made him shorter over the years. KAT jr is also only 6'10 without shoes, but certainly singifcantly taller then his father.

Man, if only all of us could let Clint destroy us at both ends of the court in a 5 game series, we'd all be making around 200 million.

    My goodness.

I like Kat's game though. He's much more talented than what the Wolves are capable of showing. He'll earn that money, under the right coach and with guys who have the desire to win.
