You're mistaken. Speed is not a problem for Harden it's persistence and how dedicated you are to annoying Harden. Casual fans think Klay and Kawhi are the best defenders, but their defense is too measured, calm, and within rules to truly bother Harden.

Players like Corey Brewer, Smart, Wesley Matthews, in his Portland days are those annoying defenders that skirt the rules by flopping. They have a frenetic style of defending that makes it look like they are doing more, but they are just annoying Harden with extra movement and antics. You can be a good defender (Klay, Roberson, Kawhi) but Harden will eventually figure you out. The key is to get Harden annoyed and frustrated.

dishonorable mention to Okogie in Minnesota.

definitely Roberson, but he’s injured, and he hasn’t guarded this new Harden who has activated Wilt-mode

Completely agree with all of this!

Another good example is when Marcus Smart full court pressed Harden

not even sure where that came from...I’ve never thought that Harden was struggling against him...to think that he could actually be Harden’s toughest defender is strange

I would take TJ guarding him over anyone on that list

Gonna write in "Maxi Kleber." Dude was very good against both Harden and Paul last night.

I was being a meme on my last post. But I am surprised no one has mentioned PJ Tucker. When PJ was on Phoenix he gave Harden fits.

haven't watch Kawhi guarding Harden for awhile
Danny Green basically just guard Harden left side and force him to go right
Roberson been out for long time, i don't remember how his defense
i think, Smart, he really try to get under Harden skin
