Seems like a pretty lame reason to suspend him...

As someone who's been on record here with how ridiculous Hannah Storm's outfits are, I'm so glad Kornheiser called her out on it. Totally unprofessional.

ESPN needs to pull the stick out of its ass. His comments were totally benign.

Considering it is a colleague, I'd say it was poor form for Korny.

If it was someone on another network or a dude, he wouldn't be suspended.

Kornheiser: "She’s got on red go-go boots and a Catholic school plaid skirt -- way too short for somebody in her 40s or maybe early 50s by now. She’s got on her typically very, very tight shirt. So, she looks like she's got sausage casing wrapped around her upper body."

    Pretty funny comments.

which is ridiculous. you're allowed to ridicule celebrities/athletes/other networks, and they can't take it if they poke fun at themselves? Just makes them look stupid imo..

It's weird...I used to despise Kornholer. Now? I actually kinda like the guy. Years of PTI swayed me, I suppose. I think that's the only show worth watching on ESPN anymore.

OK, imagine you're at work and at an office meeting you start ragging on some secretary's outfit in front of EVERYBODY.

You'd get a slap on the wrist, maybe canned.

Now imagine if you did that on national tv/radio...

I listen to TK's radio show on a regular basis. I find his particular brand of humor
really funny and what he said isn't any different than what happens every show. He's always calling for people to be fired and stating that random newscasters should die in the street. It's all in good fun!

I love Kornheiser, but Dan is the man.

Le Batard has actually been catching my attention lately. The only reason I'll watch anything on ESPN is to see what kind of crazy antics he's up to.

    He speaks the truth.

And his clashing with Wilbon provides some great entertainment.

He's great, and refreshingly reasonable, unlike Mike "OPS? What, OPP?" Wilbon.

Did this start yesterday? I was able to catch PTI yesterday and Wilbon said he just had the day off.

Wow, they really want him gone. Guess that's how you get rid of contract employees.

yeah, i gotcha.. but say my job involved me ragging on secretaries at competing firms in front of national tv/radio. Then it wouldn't be such a big deal.

I don't think you can make the comparison to our "normal jobs", because his job is already on national tv/radio...and his job already involves him making observations like that about people in the public spotlight. (Not directly, but we all know all these guys will talk about whatever they see relating to celebrities and athletes)
