Clint is hurting us against the Hampton 5, plain and simple. Speed might have been a factor in our rebounding woes in the first 2 games. Switching Rivers with Capela will gives us more speed to box out.
How many defensive rebounds is Capela going to get us when the Warriors keep pulling him out to the perimeter by using his man as a screener? Even if you hide him on Green or Iguodala and sink him back towards the hoop, they can just screen for Curry, Thompson or Durant and there's no one to switch, giving those guys open shots.
Rivers doesn’t make sense for shooting or rebounding, although he’s been shooting the 3 at higher percentage, I doubt he will sustain it. Gordon is better or similar in stat line and they are both 6-4. Maybe start House or Faried and bring Gordon off the bench...he’s been playing well so I would say stick to the same lineup and bring Capela out early if we can’t get boards.
He's right that Clint can't start if the Warriors are going to start their death lineup, or whatever you want to call it. I'm not sure Rivers is the answer though...honestly all our options are bad. We REALLY need House to step up, if he can play like he did in the regular season, he's the obvious choice. But basically we need to replace Capela with someone who can play great defense, help on the rebounds, and knock down threes. We kinda need a miracle for that to happen. Faried can't defend, House can't shoot, Shump can't do anything, Rivers is too small, Clark is extremely raw and inexperienced...one of these guys has to step up and surprise us. One of them has to stand in and do something we think they can't do. But it's not gonna be Capela.
I would consider Gordon off the bench just for bench support but... With all due respect, what does Tracy know about the 2nd round?
