If you could add one of these six to the current team, who would you pick?

ground rules are: No serious HOF types - Hakeem, Clyde, Moses - you guys are DQ'd from this poll. Only role players and marginal all stars need apply.

    Kenny Smith 1990-91

How about a 1994 Horry vs Shane?

Kenny Smith would be an upgrade over rafer for sure. I'd love to have a guard who can shoot 50+ %

    Alternatively Mad Max

I'd love to see Rodney McCray filling the lane on this team like the good ol' days.

What about Allen Leavell bringing that energy off the bench like Mike James was supposed to this year?

Although Mad Max would bring that "edge" this team lacks, I think OT would bring that "Oomp" that this team sorely needs.
A musclebound tough guy who eats glass for a living.
Everything he catches in the paint, he is going to dunk (along with anybody foolish enough to try to stop him :D ).
No more missed layups from the 4 spot.

Plus, noone in the league today is gonna outmuscle or out"tough" OT.

and maybe we could add Mr. Mean as a reserve.

Does John Lucas count as a "serious HOF" type? This team needs a PG most, and he'd be the best available. If not him, then most talented player, so Otis Thorpe.

    That's Brook's roll...Aaron, not Scotty.

It was a hard decision between Mad Max and Otis Thorpe. But many times I have wished Yao had Otis Thorpe. So Otis Thorpe it is for me.

Mad Max, so we can stop playing Bonzi.

Our PF position is looking good right now.

Why do people think this team needs a pg the most?

Our starting PF averages 3 ppg.

OT was the SHT! I remember he'd bring down a rebound, palm the ball with his hand and throw it down court like it was just a random pick up game.

And no one wanted to throw it down with him. What an enforcer.

I think OT was the best player BUT we are in pretty decent shape at PF with our three-headed monster. I think Mad Max would give this team a meanstreak that it needs but he was streaky and played the same position as Tmac.

That leaves me with Kenny Smith. I was never a fan of Kenny but he would fill our biggest hole in the lineup.

I'd say Otis is probably the biggest talent and Kenny the biggest need.

    Edit - what Dave_78 said :)

This team is dying for a closer. Give me Cassell -- even though he's not listed.

Our combo of PFs averages about 16 pts & 15 boards per 48 mins.

With the choices available...I'd go with Kenny or Vernon. Does Kenny's better shooting outweigh Max's athleticism & defense?

If penetration is the key - there is one player on that list who is above and beyond everybody else who is thus far getting no love with zero votes.
