My post sort of got lost in the PP thread (KB24 rape agruement), so I thought i'd repost in its own thread. "Tim Donaghy, the former NBA referee who spent 11 months in prison for relaying inside information to gamblers, is reviewing the performance of his former colleagues during the NBA Finals. Here's a quarter-by-quarter breakdown of Game 1-6." Game 6 Links to the other games can be found within the article. I wanted to bring this up because pretty much everyone is talking about the officiating. I always wondered what the officials would have to say about their calls watching tape. This is as good as its going to get. I know many of you don't really care much for Tim Donaghy or what he has to say but I find his take a bit interesting and makes watching the games a bit more entertaining.
I like Tim D exposing what goes on behind the court. People keep saying "Oh hes just trying to sell his book so hes nothing but bull" I disagree. Heres a guy that worked with the FEDs to get a lesser sentence. You don't think the feds can tell if this guy was lying about everything he's said? They don't just take bullcrap information and run with it.
Do you even know what he testified to?? Do you know what he told the FEDS to get a lesser sentence?? He was accused of passing on inside info and betting on games. Not all this conspiracy crap that he is pushing. He was a crooked ref that got hooked into the Mafia and fixed games to settle his bets. This has nothing to do with Stern and so-called conspiracies. Right now all he's doing is continuing his con on gullible people like yourself.
Agree. But its a nice change of pace to see a refs point of view on calls. I'm not really interested in how he portrays that Stern is manipulating games but and interested in just the actual calls themselves. Its nice to see him call the officials out for blatantly missing calls just as I noticed while watching the game.
