they're not comparing francis to the scrub...they're comparing the scrub to francis. meaning, brown has the same style and maybe some potential to one day become something like the player francis is.
The guy is trying to compare a player to another player, and you try to turn this into an anti-trade thread. Why? We are not talking about the trade, we are talking about Tierre Brown and how his style is similar to Steve's. Personally, I think Tierre has many of Steve's weaknesses, yet hardly any of the positives that Steve brings to the table.
hey, dont get me wrong, m for rox!!! just that i really liked francis when he was here and look at today's magic with francis vs. today's rox w/o francis
How about, instead, we look at Tierre Brown and Steve Francis, as the thread was originally intended to do. If you still want to talk about the trade, I could direct you to any number of ridiculous threads in the GARM forum.
I saw the Lakers play New Orleans and Tierre Brown looked good. He was taking it to the hole, breaking down defenses, crossing people over and hitting mid range jumpers. This is one thing I credit Rudy for, he always finds guys who play hard. Any ex-CBA guy like Tierre Brown or Atkins, you can get a solid effort every night cause they know what it is to be at the bottom and criticized for not being good enough. The thing I dont about us now is we have some veterans who are overpaid and were overhyped.
He plays a lot like an NBDL franchise. seriously though, he's better than his replacements: T.Maddox, Wilks, Moochie, Ward, Lue, M. Jackson.
If your IQ can withstand spending some time at the Lakersground site, you will see just how much their "fans" admire Brown's contributions so far.
Regardless of what many thought about Francis as a player. He was an ex-Rocket, who actually wanted to remain a Rocket, and played every night with heart and enthusiasm. I just think we, as fans, owe a him a little bit of respect for that.
