thomas embodied what i would love to see from every rocket, hakeem notwithstanding: ENERGY. the box score doesn't tell the whole story. from the time he stepped on the court he made his presence felt, flying in for a board. the three he made was his first shot. it completely caught the grizz off guard. and he shot them all with confidence and good form. in fact, they all looked like they were going in. his blocked shots came on the weakside, not on his man. these are much more valuable, for it encourages movement and team defense. i wonder why rudy has been coddling him for the first 15 games or so. i know hak gets the majority of the minutes, but he isn't exactly the "hustleman" we need. it's the same reason we play better with bark & cato down low. there is fire. kenny thomas showed exactly what the scouting reports said about him @ new mexico state. he has all the talent in the world. his desire is the question. if he can motivate himself to play like that every game, watch out. he probably isn't an allstar, but he can be an impact, high energy player - just the cog that a championship team needs.
Call me crazy but Kenny Thomas has all the talent and tools to be an NBA all star in the future! Although I still think Tim Thomas should come first.
tim thomas was a stud @ nova. i just wish he would have stayed there a wee bit longer to develop his game. but, yes, he is an up and coming player.
He looked like a player that could enegize the Rockets. Rudy needs to play him over Carlos Rogers. DaDakota
I didn't see the vancouver game, but I am interested in how Thomas played. I saw that he took 3 straight 3's and that he hit one. Was his form atleast decent? He had 6 rebounds which is very good for 20 minutes. He blocked a couple of shots. This is fine, but I want to know if he can run. I am just looking at the stat sheet. Can someone tell me how well he is looking?
